People who are due to go on holiday to Orlando this summer are getting very excited about the fact that Universal Studios has announced that June 18th will see the grand opening of the long awaited Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Excitement amongst fans of the books and/or films is at fever pitch but, even if you’re not a fan of, the opportunity to experience new thrilling rides using the very latest technology is not to be missed.
Universal Studios will offer visitors the opportunity to stroll along the streets of Hogsmeade, browsing in the shops (including Ollivander’s the wand shop where you can be ‘measured’ for your own wand) and sampling some of the food and drink that we read about in the Harry Potter books. Anyone for a Butterbeer? Hogwart’s Castle will be open for visitors and we are promised some fantastic rides which combine ‘magic and the latest Muggle technology’. There are three rides but the signature ride is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey which will take visitors soaring above the castle grounds and bring them face to face with a Hungarian Horntail, Dementors, and the gigantic Whomping Willow to name but three. Riders will also meet Dumbledore, Harry, Ron and Hermione.

I hope I get the chance to visit it before too long!
