I used to be indecisive…

…but now I'm not so sure

six word saturday – autumn/fall

AUTUMN WILL BE OVER VERY SOON

In less than a week it will be December and autumn will be over officially.   A few colourful leaves are still clinging resolutely to the trees here, but high winds are forecast for the weekend, so that will finish them off I would think. 😦

  1. Love your 6 WS.. Love peanut! Weeh… visit mine too!

  2. I haven’t seen snoopy in years!!! I hope spring comes real soon and breathes some life back into your neighborhood. Green is a prettier colour than brown me thinks πŸ™‚

  3. We have had such a late autumn; wonderful πŸ™‚

  4. That’s what I’d call appreciating the small things (the cartoon).

  5. Fall is my favorite season, but I don’t mind winter so much either πŸ˜‰

  6. I love that video!
I also love winter! Bring it on and the snow with it!

  7. Don’t remind me, that means winter is next and they are saying the coldest in 20 years here. Yikes. πŸ™‚

  8. Great six, Elaine. I like the cartoon also. It reminded me of when we were in Colorado this ‘early’ fall. I took my cane (not using that any more now!) and was knocking a small aspen tree around with it.
“What are you doing!” I was asked by our young preacher. Like it was a sin to knock of the yellow leaves of the one tree. πŸ™‚
    ..

  9. Visiting from 6WS, love the cartoon. Fall is my favorite season, but up here in the Great White North it comes early and is already long gone by Thanksgiving, which means we definitely need to make time to watch the leaves fall or we’ll miss it!

*Sigh* The snow falling in big, fat, gloppy flakes right now though is a pretty consolation prize for the end of fall.

  10. I love to see the changing colors of the leaves and then watch them fall. The wind here pretty much did them in this week too… Not looking forward to this winter, they are saying colder then normal.

  11. Oh I have been thinking just the same thing ~ lovely post & great cartoon πŸ™‚

  12. We still got a couple more weeks of autumn in December, winter doesn’t officially start until December 21 or 22, i’m not sure which.
    : )

    • I heard on TV the other day that the meteorological office (who give us such inaccurate weather reports that I’m not sure I should listen to them!) use September, October and November as autumn and December, January and February as winter, so I was going with that. I always assumed that the winter solstice was on December 21st or 22nd when daylight hours start increasing again rather than it being the start of winter.

  13. Always sad to see the trees bare of their leaves, but always good to see the new buds in the spring! Here in Southern California, it takes until the end of January some years to get all the trees to lose their leaves.

I hope you have a great Sunday!

  14. Thanks for dropping by – i’m hoping my next week will be a better one also, it was just a very long week, I’m sure we all have them.

It seems strange reading about your Autumn ending when we’re just about to go into summer. I’m definitely a summer person but do enjoy the beauty of autumn leaves.

    Love the cartoon πŸ™‚

  15. Our trees are not cooperating and losing their leaves so winter can get here! LOL!

  16. I love Snoopy – wish we could all live more simply sometimes like him. Thanks for playing 6WS!

  17. Weather here in S-E MI has been very mild. Now, it’s 55 deg, breezy, and very wet.

    Cheers!
