I used to be indecisive…

…but now I'm not so sure

a silly joke about driving

I was waiting at traffic lights yesterday and this joke came into my mind… it always makes me smile.  I hope it’s not a sign of things to come!

Two elderly women were out driving in a large car – they could barely see over the dashboard. They were driving along, chatting, when they came to an intersection. The light was red but they just went on through. The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself “I must be losing it, but I think we just went through a red light.”

After a few more minutes they came to another intersection and again the light was red and again they went right though. This time the woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red and was really concerned that she was losing it. She was starting to get a bit nervous so she decided to pay very close attention to the road and the next intersection to see what was going on.

At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was definitely red and they went right through.  She turned to her friend in the driver’s seat and said, “Mildred! Did you know we just went through three red lights in a row! You could have killed us!”

Mildred turned to her and said, “Oh, am I driving?”

  1. This made me giggle… but ouch it sounds like when my late granddad drove: he was getting seriously dangerous and family had to have a quiet word with his GP so that his licence could be removed.

reminds me too of another joke I heard: Elderly couple going into a supermarket, Him to Her: “You remember who we are and I’ll remember why we are here”.

  2. That is hilarious- probably because I can see it in my future 🙂 Sorry, kids!

Now it's your turn
