I used to be indecisive…

…but now I'm not so sure

only 80 days until Easter – not a moment to lose!

I could hardly believe it when I saw this display in a shop (John Lewis of all places – I was surprised!) last weekend.  It was actually in their Clearance section, so I realise they are just getting rid of old stock to make way for the new, but really… I have only just put the Christmas decorations away!

I went to the park yesterday – which I have resolved to do more often.  It’s the first time I’ve been there for ages and I was astonished by how much the rain we’ve been having for the last months has affected it.  A small river runs through the park – it was very high and had affected quite a lot of the area round it and turned what is normally termed ‘wetland’ into ‘a-foot-deep-in-water land’ – I was really glad I was wearing my wellies!

Just to prove I was there, here are a couple of photos.  It all looks quite drab and dull in the winter, but I noticed buds appearing on the horse chestnut trees so it won’t be long before a green tinge appears.

It’s all looking quite bare at the moment.

This tree would normally be growing in dry land!

  1. The Hub and I had to go to Morrisons just after Christmas (I was NOT happy!) and they had Easter eggs on the shelves! I may never shop there again.

  2. You’d think they’d at least do Valentine’s day before getting out the Easter stuff 😀

  3. I think I like unseasonal seasonal products being for sale. Maybe THIS year I will learn not to leave things too late.
Here’s hoping the Cadbury mini-eggs come out of hibernation before long.

  4. I agree about rushing through the year. I prefer to enjoy each day while it’s here and celebrate the holidays DURING the season. I consider Lent the Easter season and it’s only about 40 days, not 80, unless I missed a memo.

  5. Oh crikey Easter?? I was late for Christmas there’s no chance of me getting organised for Easter!

Now it's your turn
