six word saturday – quiet time

ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT

The 25th and 26th were very busy here, cooking and entertaining, so I declared that yesterday would be a day of total rest – getting up late, eating left overs, watching tv, doing a jigsaw and generally relaxing – and I am tempted to say that today should be more of the same.

I hope everyone’s festivities went well.

Happy Saturday!

  1. Oh, I LOVE that Snoopy cartoon πŸ™‚ I might have to pinch it!
Go on, relax- enjoy the day, Elaine! I have that “nothing’s spoiling” mentality in the middle days. It’s lovely. All the best for 2014 πŸ™‚

  2. β—”β—‘β—” BEST WISHES

    much love…

  3. Wishing you lots of relaxation time and a wonderful new year!

  4. That is the best kind of day! Enjoy your weekend, whatever you do.

  5. It has been a lovely Christmas. Relaxing is always good.

  6. And, did you decide to hunker down today?

  7. HAPPY NEW YEAR, ELAINE!!!
I hope you will have another day like that in the coming year.
Cartoon is a classic, I love it!
    ..

  8. Oh dear, poor Snoopy. I know just what you mean about having a quiet day. I have spent the last two days at the Brisbane International Tennis, which was great, although extremely hot. (37.5 degrees on Sunday) Today I am home alone and I am making the most of the silence.

    • I felt hot just reading about the temperature at the tennis – did you have a seat in the shade? I hope you enjoyed your day at home alone, in the silence – wonderful. πŸ™‚

      • Luckily the Queensland Tennis Centre is a brand new purpose built centre and the main arena is roofed so we were not in the sun. It has a wide space between the walls and the roof as well so there was the occasional breeze as well. Even show courts one and two are covered with shade sails. It’s heating up again for the weekend, with 39 predicted for Saturday.

I did have a lovely quiet day and managed to get two posts written, one for each blog. JB’s is about his day at the tennis.

Now it's your turn
