I used to be indecisive…

…but now I'm not so sure

Friday letters – the first December edition

Dear Christmas,  Every day, in fact every hour it seems, the signs of your arrival are increasing – advent calendars, the festive lights in the town and shopping mall, the practising of Christmas carols in the classroom, lit Christmas trees in the windows of houses and Christmas music everywhere.  I’m definitely feeling a bit more festive now than I was this time last week.

Dear Christmas jumpers,  I remember there were a few around last year, but this year you are all over the place like a rash!  I’m not complaining (you will be pleased to know), just making an observation.

Dear afternoon tea,  I am looking forward to you tomorrow afternoon.  We are having a staff outing to London, to see the lights and decorations and to have tea – how very civilised.

Dear Tax Man,  Why do you make life so difficult?  Just when you think everything is all sorted, along you come wanting some more information.

Dear advent calendar card,  The pictures inside your windows are lovely – so small and detailed.
