I used to be indecisive…

…but now I'm not so sure

a garden bench

Heyjude at Travel Words has invited contributions to her series of bench photos.  As a bench lover myself I am only too happy to join in!  Each month she will suggest a different category for a bench, and this month it’s gardens.

Here is a bench, or two actually, on Flora’s Lawn in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall.  You have to look closely to see them, one on each side of the photo.  The family in the photo were just starting to play a game of croquet which had been left out for visitors. The Lost Gardens are well worth a visit, and there are plenty of benches to sit on to rest and admire your beautiful surroundings.

My second bench is in the gardens of The Grove, a hotel in Hertfordshire.  The gardens are lovely, with several benches dotted around for peaceful contemplation, or to admire the views over the local countryside.

  6. A bench is so wonderful to have around while you are waiting on something or somebody. Problem is somebody is usually already sitting on the bench. 😦 What a lovely garden in the second picture. 🙂

Now it's your turn
