Bench Series: July – unusual details #2

For the month of July, Jude at Travel Words has asked us to share benches with unusual details.  This bench, with its lovely floral ironwork on the back, is in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Fawsley, Northamptonshire.

  1. This is so pretty. Love the craftsmanship that goes into these benches and what a lovely spot. I’m amazed at where people are finding their benches. If I have time I shall have to write a round-up at the end of the year. When are you off to Scotland?

  2. This bench is one of those things, I guess, that looks better aged…..I really like it because it has character!

  3. I’m not sure how long it has been there – but it must be a while considering the green that’s appearing on it!

  4. Lovely detail, Elaine. The bench looks well weathered. 🙂

  5. Kind of Rennie Mackintosh, but in the wrong place for that? 🙂

  6. Oh, that’s lovely. What gorgeous craftsmanship in that ironwork. Great find Elaine. Safe travelling on Thursday.

Now it's your turn
