LAST FEW DAYS OF SUMMER BREAK
Schools go back next week, here in the south of England. The holidays have gone by very quickly this year – I feel as though they have only just started. However, there is some good news – the sun is shining today!
It’s Saturday, so here’s Snoopy.
To read more sets of six words head over to Cate at Show My Face.

Yeah. Monday, Monday. Joy. (Did my sarcastic tone come through?)

Ah well here in England Ron, Monday is a Bank Holiday so a good day. But the last one before the C word. Oh dear 😦

Stop it Jude! No mentions of Christmas here please…, well certainly not yet… 😀

I didn’t!!!! Holds hands up! I said ‘C’ I mean, come on, we have Guy Fawkes and Halloween to get through first…
[I swear it was Halloween only a month or two ago…]

Aaaarrgghh! It will be Hallowe’en before we know it!

Sarcastic tone came through. 🙂 Monday is a day off for most people here, then back to work on Tuesday.

You had to mention the S word. And now the sun has gone in 😦

Sorry…
It managed to last until about 3pm here, and then it hid behind the gloomy clouds.

Hid and then the rain started 😦
Poor bunnies. And I didn’t get to Wisley.
August 29, 2015 at 9:05 pm
The poor bunnies will soon have webbed feet! Shame about the lack of visit to Wisley.

Yes, I think I might suggest to the daughter that she buy ducks next time 🙂

I for one am always ready to welcome the cooler weather of fall, with September, October, and November being my favorite months of the year! 🙂

I think if we had had a blisteringly hot summer, rather than a very variable one which involved lots of rain, I might agree with you! 🙂

Bugable and hugable! So cute. Yep, back to school next week. Grrrr. early mornings and long days will make for a grumpy Lizzie. Good luck on the first day back. x

I am doing supply teaching this year – just the odd day here and there (which I also planned to do last academic year, but ended up working almost full time, covering for two colleagues!), so I will still have Tuesday off – hooray! Good luck to you for your first day back.

I’m sure the children are more excited than you are about going back to school. 😃 Strange to think it’s almost autumn. I’m only just getting used to the heat and humidity of my first Florida summer. 😡😰

Touches of autumn are appearing here now – a few leaves changing colour and a bit of a nip in the air in the evening now.

all good things do end….darnit! Have a great Sunday!
August 31, 2015 at 9:38 pm
I suppose if the holidays were never ending we just wouldn’t appreciate them in the same way!
August 30, 2015 at 9:11 pm
What?? Where did those six weeks go? I was sure you had plenty of time left. Oh well, you can start looking forward to the next holiday now.
August 31, 2015 at 9:33 pm
I know! The time has gone in a flash! Luckily I have a little leeway as supply teachers probably won’t be needed for a week or so.
