This week Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack has asked us to post a photo showing connections.
I’ve posted this photo before, but it’s ideal for this topic. This is my daughter and her cousins walking by the edge of a lake in Celebration, Florida, this summer.
Here is Westminster Bridge in London, which connects one side of the Thames with the other, and connecting the new (London Eye) with the old (Houses of Parliament).
For more connections have a look at Where’s My Backpack.
This photo of part of central London is taken from the London Eye about two weeks ago, during the second week of the Olympics. London is the largest urban area in the UK, with an estimated population of just over 8 million.
Click on it to make it bigger and you will be able to see Buckingham Palace right in the centre, surrounded by a lot of trees (Green Park, St James’s Park and Hyde Park). Down near the bottom right hand corner is Horse Guards Parade, where they held the Beach Volleyball – you can see the seating.
Have a look here for some more Urban photos.
