Busy garden – return of the birds

It’s so nice to see lots of birds back in the garden again.  For many weeks it has been almost deserted but this morning they were there, in large numbers, so I topped up the feeders and removed the ice from the bird bath and I am hoping that this is the return to normality after a very quiet time in the feathered friends department.  The squirrels have been busy too and, as usual, their antics on the ‘squirrel proof’ bird feeders are amusing.

I was so busy watching them that I forgot to get my camera out, so here’s a few photos from earlier this year.

I’m linking this post to Debbie’s Six Word Saturday.

Decisions, decisions

CHOOSE FRIDAY LETTERS OR TRAVEL …. HMMM

I failed to write any letters to the world yesterday, but I had to make a choice…  Should I take my packed suitcase to the airport and catch a flight, or risk missing it by sitting at my laptop and penning a few letters?  I decided that the world would just have to do without any letters yesterday, and look after itself!

The result is that today’s post comes to you from sunny Orlando, Florida, where Mr Decisive will be attending a conference.  I am looking forward to relaxing, catching up with some reading and maybe venturing out and about.

NOTHING MUCH BEATS SNOW CAPPED HILLS

Yesterday I drove north again, and the blue skies and snow capped hills that I could see for the last third of the journey almost made it worth spending 7 hours in the car.  Unfortunately I haven’t mastered the art of taking photos whilst having two hands on the steering wheel, but I could have taken some excellent shots.

And now a cartoon which has nothing at all to do with driving and snow covered hills, but it made me smile.chickenrevolvingdoor
